"Jerome Hellwar", president of Pan Arts Company, Inc., in blue ink. 3
pages, 8½ x 11. Oct. 1, 1963. This contract is for Bosley to appear in
The World of Henry Orient (1964), his second movie after 1963's Love
with the Proper Stranger. Bosley was paid $2,500 per week for no less than
three weeks and three days of work. Stage, screen and television actor Tom
Bosley (1927-2010) is best known to TV audiences for his Emmy Award-nominated
role as Howard Cunningham on the hit TV series, Happy Days, which
aired on ABC from 1974-1984 and was in the Nielsen "Top 20" for six seasons.
Bosley also starred in The Father Dowling Mysteries (1989-1991)
and narrated the syndicated series, That's Hollywood (1977-1981),
and he has appeared in numerous made-for-TV movies and made guest appeareances
on a long list of TV shows. After making his film debut in 1963's Love
With the Proper Stranger, Bosley appeared in several other feature
films, including Yours, Mine and Ours (1968), Gus (1976) and
The Fallen Ones (2005). Bosley, who won the 1960 Tony Award for
Fiorello, also originated the role of Belle's father in the Broadway
production of Beauty and the Beast. Lightly toned and creased. Two binder
holes in top on contract. Otherwise in fine condition.
