TOM BOSLEY
In 1961, Bosley was paid $3,000 to appear on Perry Como's Kraft Music Hall, just a few weeks before the end of his run as Fiorello on Broadway
Contract signed "Tom Bosley" in blue ink. Also signed by Roncom Productions representative in blue ink. 13 pages, first page is two-sided, 8½ x 11. New York, New York, Oct. 2, 1961. This contract is between Bosley and Roncom Productions. It's for Bosley to appear on the Nov. 8, 1961 episode of NBC's Perry Como's Kraft Music Hall (to be taped on Nov. 3). Bosley was to be paid $3,000 for this appearance, which isn't bad for one night's work. Bosley was starring in the Broadway production of Fiorello as Fiorello LaGuardia, for which he had won a Tony the previous year, when he signed this contract. The show would close a few weeks later after a two-year run. Stage, screen and television actor Tom Bosley (1927-2010) is best known to TV audiences for his Emmy Award-nominated role as Howard Cunningham on the hit TV series, Happy Days, which aired on ABC from 1974-1984 and was in the Nielsen "Top 20" for six seasons. Bosley also starred in The Father Dowling Mysteries (1989-1991) and narrated the syndicated series, That's Hollywood (1977-1981), and he has appeared in numerous made-for-TV movies and made guest appeareances on a long list of TV shows. After making his film debut in 1963's Love With the Proper Stranger, Bosley appeared in several other feature films, including Yours, Mine and Ours (1968), Gus (1976) and The Fallen Ones (2005). Bosley, who won the 1960 Tony Award for Fiorello, also originated the role of Belle's father in the Broadway production of Beauty and the Beast. Lightly toned and creased, otherwise in fine condition.
