Typed Document signed twice : "Tom Cruise/President" and "Tom Cruise," 2p, (pages 1 and 3 of a 3 page document; page 2 is missing), 8½x11. Los Angeles, 1987 July 7. Tom Cruise, President of TC Productions, agrees to let the Whatcom Museum of History & Art, Bellingham, Washington, to use "a 4.5 minute segment ('Clip') from the theatrical motion picture 'Top Gun', in connection with its exhibit ('Exhibit') 'Masks; Facing the World' for the period July 30 through November 9, 1987...." The letter ends with Cruise's representative stating: "I will have two (2) copies signed by Mr. Cruise and on behalf of TC Productions and then returned to you for your records." Also signed by the museum director. Three time Oscar-nominated actor TOM CRUISE (b. 1962) has had success both as an action hero (as in Top Gun and Mission Impossible, 1996 and sequels, and in serious dramatic roles (Born On the Fourth of July, 1989; Magnolia, 1999). Other popular Cruise films include Risky Business (1983), The Color of Money (1986), Rain Man (1988), Jerry Maguire (1996), Minority Report (2002), War of the Worlds (2005) and Valkyrie (2007, as anti-Hitler hero Claus von Stauffenberg). Cruise's outspoken adherence to the Church of Scientology has been controversial. Staple holes at upper left. Fine condition.
