Early publicity photograph for the jazz musician signed with "Lotsa Love"
Photograph signed: "Lotsa Love/Tom Grant", in black ink, B/w 8x9¼. The son of a tap dancer and record store owner, Tom Grant (b. 1946) began his music career by playing piano and drums, and traveled to New York City to pursue his music career. He soon began touring with several jazz musicians, including Woody Shaw, Charles Lloyd, and Tony Williams, and in 1976, made his first solo album. Grant then fronted his own jazz band for a short time, but most recently has been focused on composing smooth jazz and contemporary jazz for recordings and commercial use. Light surface creases (not seen head on). Top edge slightly frayed. Fine condition.
