Autograph note signed: "To Bob -/ A regular guy/ Tom Keene" in purple ink. 5x3 index card. The actor known as Tom Keene (1898-1963) had three different approaches to acting under three different names. As George Duryea, his birth name, he starred on Broadway in the 1920s (Abie in Abie's Irish Rose) and in Cecil B. DeMille's The Godless Girl (1930). Near the end of his career, he played diverse character roles under the name of Richard Powers. His greatest success, however, came as Tom Keene in a long string of Westerns of the 1930s and 1940s. He can also be seen in director Ed Wood's Plan 9 from Outer Space, many fans' selection as the worst movie of all time. Toned and soiled. Corners rounded. Light surface creases. Small stains throughout. Otherwise, fine condition.
