Floyd Patterson weigh in for their title bout. Tom McNeeley (1937-2011) won
his first 23 professional fights, earning a shot at the heavyweight crown
against Floyd Patterson. In a match in Toronto, refereed by former champ Jersey
Joe Walcott, McNeeley was knocked out in the Fourth Round. He continued
fighting through 1966, with a career record of 37 wins (28 by knockout), 14
losses (including 5 KO's), and one disqualification. McNeeley, whose father and
son were also boxers, served 8 years as Massachusetts State Boxing
Commissioner. Fine condition.
