McVie (b.1935) is a retired NHL coach who served in the league for 9 seasons
with the Washington Capitals, Winnipeg Jets and the New Jersey Devils between
1975 and 1992. McVie had a bit of bad luck as a manager, considering each
team he coached for had such disastrous records, especially the New Jersey
Devils during the 1983-84 season when they recorded their worst season to date.
While McVie didn't have the most successful coaching career, he worked hard for
his organizations, and in 1994 he became a scout for the Boston Bruins.
After 17 years working for the organization, McVie finally earned his name on a
Stanley Cup trophy when the Bruins won in 2011. In the NHL, McVie coached 462
games, with 126 wins, 263 losses, and 73 ties. Fine condition.
