10x8. Advertisement for Tom Jones racing - promoting Fel-Pro Performance
Gaskets, Pace Race Jack, and others. Tom Jones (b. 1943) is a former
racecar driver from Dallas, Texas. He began racing in local club events,
eventually moving up to club events at Lotus Super 7, and Formula
A events. Jones had a brief stint in Formula One racing when he privately
entered his own Cooper T82 - attempting to compete in the 1967 Canadian Grand
Prix. However, after encountering electrical problems, Jones did not qualify.
After failing to qualify, and up until 1980, Jones competed in eight more events
including the SCCA Formula A L & M Championship in 1967. After
retiring in 1980, Jones opened up a metal fabrication company, which he still
owns. Fine condition.
