TOMMY JAMES & THE SHONDELLS
The singer signs on Side A of the 1983 record Tommy James & The Shondells
Record signed: "Tommy James" on Side A, in silver felt tip, 11¾x11¾, record cut off at edges in the image, entire record is intact. The 1983 record Tommy James & The Shondells, featuring five songs 1. "She", 2. "Sweet Cherry Wine", 3. "Crimson and Clover", 4."Crystal Blue Persuasion" and 5. "Mony Mony". James, born Thomas Jackson on April 29, 1947, has sold over 100 million records, including 23 gold singles and nine gold or platinum albums, over his career with his group, The Shondells, and as a solo artist. James formed his first group, The Tornadoes, in 1959 at age 12. The group changed its name to The Shondells in 1964, the year they first released the song Hanky Panky, which became a huge hit in 1966. I Think We're Alone Now, Mony Mony, Crimson and Clover and Crystal Blue Persuasion followed before the group broke up in 1970 and James embarked on a solo career. James signed with Millenium Records in 1980, recording three chart singles, including Three Times in Love. His songs have been featured in a number of feature films, including Forrest Gump, Cape Fear, Don't Tell Mom The Babysitter's Dead and Apollo 13. In Me, the Mob, and the Music, James pulls no punches in discussing issues like his fight with substance abuse and the Genovese crime family connections of his label, Roulette Records.
