TOMMY KELLY
Youthful 5x7 sepia-toned photograph of the actor who starred in his first two movies
(only). Very rare!
Photograph signed: "Sincerely/Tommy Kelly". Sepia, 5x7. Tommy Kelly (1925-2016) played
the title role in his first two movies, The Adventures of Tom Sawyer and Peck's Bad Boy
with the Circus (both in 1938). After a few more teen-age roles (Military Academy, 1940;
Double Date, 1941), he was reduced to uncredited roles in the late 1940s, including his last
two pictures in 1950: West Point and The Magnificent Yankee. Generally unwilling to
discuss his youthful film career, Kelly became a school teacher and Peace Corps
administrator. He earned a Ph.D. from Michigan State Corners lightly creased. Otherwise,
fine condition.
