The late WBA Champion shown in his youthful fighting days
Photograph signed: "Tommy/'The Duke'/Morrison". Color, 8x10. Tommy Morrison (1969-2013) got his nickname from John Wayne, his grand uncle. He starred as Tommy "Machine" Gunn in the film Rocky V (1990). Morrison took the WBO world heavyweight boxing championship from George Foreman in 1993 and the IBC title from Razor Ruddock two years later, although he held each crown for less than a year. Morrison's boxing career ended in February 1996, when he tested HIV positive. Things went downhill for him after that; he served prison time for drugs found in a car he had unwisely loaned out. Since emerging from prison, a revitalized Morrison is working on a book while promoting AIDS awareness. In September of 2013, Morrison died from complications of his HIV illness. Fine condition.
