Collection: 1) Letter signed: "Mrs. Tommy Paul./(Edith)", 1p, 5½x8. No place, 1992 April 10. To "Dear John", in full: "Received your request for Tommy's picture & autograph. I'm sending two pictures of Tom instead of one. [Only one included.] Tommy died Apr 28 1991. You're so nice I took the privilege of autographing them for you. (I hope you don't mind.) I thought it would please you. He was 82 yrs old. Died from Congestive Heart Failure. He loved signing autographs to people all over the world. He was the greatest from a gentleman to boxing. Thank you for everything. Let me know if you received the pictures. Thank you." Fine condition. 2) Photograph inscribed and signed [by his widow]: "To My 'Pal'/'John'/Best Wishes/Tommy Paul". B/w, 8x10. Facsimile signature by Paul in lower background. Fine condition. Boxer Tommy Paul was world featherweight champion for seven months in 1932, outpointing Johnny Pena but losing a decision to Freddie Miller. He retired in 1935 with a record of 72-24-9, with 28 knockouts. Two items.
