TOMMY SANDSThe singer signed and initialed this contract with his birth name in 1961 to appear on an episode of Perry Como's Kraft Music Hall for $6,000. Contract Multi-Signed: "Thomas Adrian Sands" and initialed "TS" 9 times, all in blue ink. Also signed and initialed by an Assistant Secretary for Roncom Productions, Inc. 2 pages, 8½x11, 1 sheet, front and verso, with 18 single-sided pages of riders of various sizes. Nov. 6, 1961. Sands signed this contract to appear on an episode of Perry Como's Kraft Music Hall for $6,000. His performance was to be taped on Nov. 10 and broadcast on Nov. 11. Sands (b. 1937) is an American singer and actor. He learned to play guitar at seven and within a year was performing twice weekly on a Shreveport, Louisiana radio station. Colonel Tom Parker signed him to RCA Records and, in 1957, starred in an episode of Kraft Television Theatre as a singer similar to Elvis Presley. He played Teenage Crush on the show, which was turned into a single and peaked at No. 3 on the charts. He also acted in several movies, including Sing, Boy, Sing (1958), Babes in Toyland (1961), The Longest Day (1962) and Ensign Pulver (1964). Lightly toned and creased. Carbon copy marks. Staple holes along top edge. Otherwise, fine condition.
