TSUNEYUKI "TOMMY" NAKAJIMA
11x14 Matted color image of Japan's #2 all-time money-winning golfer,
completing a tee shot.
Magazine Photograph signed: "Tommy Nakajima". Color, 8½x12
Matted to 11x14. Tsuneyuki Nakajima (b. 1954), often called "Tommy"
during US competitions, won 48 tournaments on the Japan Golf Tour. Four
times Japan's leading money winner in the five year stretch 1982-1986, he ranks
#2 in all-time money winners there as of 2013. Although he played well in
competition outside Japan, finishing in the top ten at all four of the US PGA
"Majors", he suffered the embarrassment early in his career of the
highest single-hole score ever recorded at the Masters: a 13 on Hole 13
in 1978. His struggles with the formidable sand trap at St Andrews' famed "Road
Hole" (#17) led the British press to dub it "the Sands of Nakajima". Fine
condition.
