that features him in his Vancouver Canucks uniform
Photograph signed: "Tony Currie", in blue ink, B/w 3½x5½. Tony Currie (b. 1957) is an
NHL forward who played for 10 seasons with the St. Louis Blues (1977-1982), Vancouver
Canucks (1981-1984), and Hartford Whalers (1983-1985). Drafted in 1977 by the Blues,
Currie had inconsistent career despite his playmaking ability with the puck under his control.
He was not physical enough to play defense and, as a result, was a liability on defense. During
the 1980-1981 season, he notched an incredible 55 points in 61 games. He retired from
the NHL in 1985 with a total of 92 goals and 119 assists. Stray ink mark. Pencil note
(unknown hand) on verso. Soiled on verso. Corners slightly worn. Otherwise, fine condition.
