cast mainly for his good looks, Tony Curtis, born Bernard Schwartz
(1925-2010), showed real acting talent in such films as The Defiant
Ones (1958; nominated for the Academy Award for Best Actor), Some Like It
Hot (1959) and - cast against type - The Boston Strangler (1968;
Golden Globe nomination for Best Actor - Drama). Later in his career, he
preferred to play comic roles. Curtis, whose recent credits include
Reflections of Evil (2002, narrator), A&E Biography: Janet
Leigh (2003) and TV's Hope & Faith (2004), is the father of
actress Jamie Leigh Curtis. Several pin holes in corners. Lightly bowed.
Toned. Corners and edges lightly worn. Torn on top left corner. Corners heavily
creased. Surface creases. Otherwise, fine condition.
