Photograph signed: "Tony/Orlando/[paraph]". Color, 8x10. Publicity photograph for his Tony Orlando Yellow Ribbon Music Theater in Branson, Missouri. Imprinted caption at lower right. Singer Tony Orlando (born in 1944) had some modest solo hits in the early 1960s, notably "Halfway to Paradise", before moving to the business side of the record industry. However, he shot to pop music stardom in the 1970s after teaming up with the female duo, Dawn. Their hit recordings included "Candida", "Knock Three Times" and their biggest hit, "Tie a Yellow Ribbon". After hosting a TV variety show (1974-1976), Tony Orlando and Dawn broke up. Orlando, who is seen occasionally in feature films and on television series, has since been a successful entertainer in Las Vegas, and he opened his own theater in Branson, Missouri in 1988. Slightly creased at corners. Minor surface smudges (not evident head on). Fine condition.
