neurobiologist Torsten Nils Wiesel (b. 1924), working at Harvard Medical School
with co-recipient David Hubel, earned a Nobel Price in Medicine in 1981 "for
their discoveries concerning information processing in the visual system."
They discovered that various forms of visual stimuli are handled by different
