TRACE ADKINS. Photograph signed: "Trace Adkins". Color, 8x10. Country singer Trace Adkins (born Tracy Darrell Adkins in 1962) got his big break while singing at Tillie's & Lucy's Pub in Nashville. Spotted by the president of the country division of Capitol Records, he was quickly signed to a recording contract and his first single, "There's A Girl in Texas," made it to the Top 20 in 1996. In 1997, Adkins released his first album, Dreamin' Out Loud, which was certified platinum, and that year he was also named top new male vocalist by the Academy of Country Music. Known for mixing classic honky tonk with elements of gospel, blues and rock & roll for a "traditionalist" country sound, Adkins' other hits include "Every Light in the House" (No. 3), "I Left Something Turned on at Home" (No. 2), "(This Ain't) No Thinkin' Thing" (No. 1), "The Rest of Mine" (a Top 5 hit) and "Lonely Won't Leave Me Alone". He released his fifth studio album in 2004. Slightly creased at upper left corner. Minor surface smudges (not evident head on). Fine condition.
