TRACY AUSTINThe tennis star pens her signature on this 5x3 card in black ink Signature: "Tracy/Austin", 5x3 card. Tennis pro Tracy Austin, in ponytail and pinafore, was the youngest of all major quarterfinalists at the 1977 Wimbledon - until Jennifer Capriati, a younger 14, was a semifinalist in 1990. Austin won the US Open Singles in 1979 and 1981. She and her brother, John, won the Wimbledon Mixed in 1980 (the only brother-sister pair to do so). Turning pro in October 1978, Austin won $1,966,487 in career prize money. She played on three winning Federation Cup teams (1978, 1979 and 1980) for the U.S., and two Wightman Cup winners (1979, 1981). Austin entered the International Tennis Hall of Fame in 1992. Ink note on verso (unknown hand) shows through faintly at lower edge. Otherwise, fine condition.
