5x3. American country music singer/songwriter and musician James Travis
Tritt (b. 1963) has been a member of the Grand Ole Opry since
1992. He had his first No. 1 hit, "Help Me Hold On", a single from his
debut album, Country Club, in 1990 (the album was released in
1989), and Tritt would later have No. 1 singles with "Here's a Quarter
(Call Someone Who Cares" (from his album, It's All About to Change), "Can
I Trust You With My Heart" (from T-R-O-U-B-L-E), "Foolish Pride (from
Ten Feet Tall and Bulletproof) and "Best of Intentions" (from Down the
Road I Go). His other Top 10 singles include "I'm Gonna Be Somebody"
(#2), "Drift Off To Dream" (#3), "Anymore (#2), "Tell Me I Was Dreaming" (#2),
"More Than You'll Ever Know" (#3), "It's a Great Day to Be Alive" (#2) and "Love
of a Woman (#2). In addition to playing with his band, The Country Club,
Tritt has collaborated with a number of other musicians, from Patti LaBelle to
the Eagles to John Mellencamp. He has also appeared in feature films
(The Cowboy Way, 1994; Blues Brothers 2000, 1998; 2001
Maniacs, 2005) and made-for-TV movies, and Tritt has been seen as a
guest star on several TV series, including Tales From the Crypt
(1995), Touched by an Angel (1999) and Yes, Dear (2004). Fine
