Newspaper photograph signed: "Ulf Nilsson", in red felt tip,
4x7½ B/w image affixed to a 4¼x8 card. Ulf Nilsson (b. 1950) is a
retired ice hockey player, playing for 4 seasons in the WHA and 4 seasons in
the NHL. He played with the Winnipeg Jets (1974-1978) before the
collapse of the WHA and the transfer of the team to the NHL. Afterwards, he
played for the New York Rangers (1978-1983), and it was during this time
with the Rangers that he was hit by the New York Islanders Denis Potvin, causing
injuries that later affected his career. He retired in 1983, and has been a
notable member of ice hockey history, winning several awards during his career
including World Championship medals, Playoff MVP (WHA), an Avco Cup, and
being an Honoured Member of the Manitoba Hockey Hall of Fame. Ink note
