VAL L. FITCH - SIGNATURE(S) 11/2008 - HFSID 281078

The Nobel Prize-winner in Physics (1980) signs on this card, dating it in 2008
Signature: "Val L. Fitch/Princeton, Nov '08", 5x3 index card. Val Logsdon Fitch (1923-2015), of Princeton University, shared the 1980 Nobel Prize in Physics with James Cronin (born 1931) "for the discovery of violations of fundamental symmetry principles in the decay of neutral K-mesons." Fitch, who became Chairman of the Physics Department at Princeton in 1976, worked on the Manhattan Project for three years during WWII as a soldier with the U.S. Army. He later worked at Brookhaven Cosmotron, where he met Cronin, and the two worked together at Princeton from the 1950s until 1971. Fine condition.
