Document signed: "Van Heflin", 4 pages (front and verso), 8½x11. Beverly Hills, California, 1943 January 29. Standard contract of the American Federation of Radio Artists, retaining the William Morris Agency as his exclusive agent for a term of three years, for the standard ten per cent commission. Signed on last page. Stage and screen actor Van Heflin (1910-1971) made his film debut in A Woman Rebels (1936), opposite Katharine Hepburn, with whom he co-starred on Broadway in The Philadelphia Story. He earned an Oscar as Best Supporting Actor for his performance in Johnny Eager (1941). The following year he portrayed President Andrew Johnson in Tennessee Johnson. Other well remembered roles included The Prowler (1951) and Shane (1953). His last major role was that of a suicide bomber in Airport (1970). Filing holes at top and bottom edges. Staples at top edge. Toned. Corners lightly creased. Otherwise, fine condition.
