Sepia, 3½x5½. English music hall star Vesta Victoria (1873-1952)
had her first popular song, "Daddy Wouldn't Buy Me a Bow Wow", in 1892. The
singer and comedian toured England and America through World War I, retiring
thereafter but re-recording some of her hits in 1931 and returning for a few
film appearances in the 1950s. Signature faded but legible. Lightly toned.
Corners lightly worn. Otherwise, fine condition.
