THE VIBES MOVIE CAST: PETER FALK, JEFF GOLDBLUM, and CYNDI LAUPER
The three stars sign still from their 1988 film The Vibes
Printed photograph signed: "Peter Falk" in blue ink and "Thanks/ Jeff Goldblum", "Cyndi Lauper/ XX" in black ink. B/w, 10x8. Still from their film The Vibes (1988). PETER FALK (1927-2011) lost an eye at the age of three, resulting in the odd, squinting gaze which later became his trademark. Best known as the rumpled television detective Columbo, the character actor has also enjoyed a successful film career spanning over 40 years. He has won two Emmys for his television work and earned two Best Supporting Actor Oscar nominations (Murder Inc., 1961 and Pocketful of Miracles, 1962). In The Great Race, Falk was featured in a talented ensemble cast engaged in a comically manic prize race from New York to Paris (westward across Russia). JEFF GOLDBLUM (b.1952) has played lead and supporting character, usually eccentrics, in many film comedies and dramas. He had prominent roles in such films as The Big Chill (1983), The Fly (1986), Jurassic Park (1993, 1997), Independence Day (1996) and Man of the Year (2006). He won a 2005 Emmy for a guest appearance on Will & Grace. CYNDI LAUPER's (b. 1953) debut album, She's So Unusual (1983) sold 5 million copies and earned her a 1984 Grammy as Best New Artist. Among her chart-topping hits were "Girls Just Want to Have Fun" and "Time After Time." Lauper won an Emmy for a TV guest appearance on Mad About You in 1995. Her big screen roles include a critically lauded performance in The Opportunist (2000). Fine condition.
