Inscribed Photograph signed: "Jeff,/Best Wishes!/William Hancock/VADM William J. Hancock/U.S. NAVY/DCND (Logistics)" Color 8x10. Vice Admiral William J. Hancock graduated from the Naval Academy and was commissioned an ensign in June 1965. He was commander of the RANGER Aircraft Carrier Battle Group and was involved in joint operations in the Persian Gulf enforcing the No-fly Zone over Southern Iraq. He also commanded the CONSTELLATION Battle Group, destroyer USS Towers and the cruiser USS Worden. On shore he served on the Navy Department staff as Director of the Operations Division in the Office of Budgets and Reports, on the staff of the Chief of Naval Operations as Director of the Combatant Commander Liaison Division and Director of the Office of Budgets and Reports on the staff of the Secretary of the Navy. Before retiring, he worked as Deputy Chief of Naval Operations for Logistics. After leaving the Navy Hancock has worked as an independent consultant in Defense Logistics, Infrastructure Outsourcing and Privatization and Logistics Process Reengineering. Fine condition.
