Typed Letter Signed: "Albert Gore, Jr." as Tennessee
Congressman, 1p, 8x10½. Washington, D.C., 1977 July 18. To Eddie
Sousa, Union City, California. In full: "Thank you for your most
interesting letter. If I or any member of my staff come your way, we will surely
remember the Tahoe Valley Hotel on Highway 50. I am enclosing a newspaper from
Tennessee which you requested. The paper is published in Nashville, and is a
fine one. We are particularly proud of it. Also I am mailing you an autographed
picture. It is my pleasure to add one more picture to your 8,000 collection. If
I can be of further assistance to you, please don't hesitate to let me
know." [Neither newspaper nor photograph are present.] Gore served as

1985-1993, when he was inaugurated as President Clinton's Vice President.
He lost the 2002 Presidential election to George W. Bush in a hotly contested
race that divided the nation. Creased, paper clip stains at upper left corner.
