Handwritten postscript: "Thanks for your help!" J. Danforth "Dan" Quayle (b. 1947) represented Indiana in the US House of Representatives (1977-1981) and Senate (1981-1989). He was elected Vice President on the Republican ticket with George Bush in 1989, but defeated for re-election. When first inaugurated, Quayle was the third youngest Vice President (after John Breckinridge and Richard Nixon). He published his memoirs in 1996 and sought the Republican Presidential nomination in 2000. Two horizontal fold creases. Bottom edge toned. Otherwise fine condition.
