Quayle, a U.S. Representative (1977-1981) and Senator (1981-1989) from Indiana,
was Vice President under George Bush from 1989-1993. He ran unsuccessfully
for reelection in 1992. For a short time in 2000, he was a candidate for the
Republican presidential nomination. DIRECTLY FROM THE SALE OF THE ESTATE OF
DANIEL PATRICK MOYNIHAN. Moynihan (1927-2003) represented New York in the U.S.
Senate as a Democrat for four terms (1977-2001). A prolific author, he
served in the administrations of four Presidents: Kennedy, Johnson, Nixon and
