Price: $220.00
SPIRO T. AGNEW
Spiro T. Agnew sends a typed thank you letter.
Typed Letter Signed: "Ted", 1p, 7¼x10½. Annapolis, Maryland, 1976 June 9. To W. Ernst
Minor, Cincinnati, Ohio. Minor had served as Agnew's assistant when he was Vice
President. In full: "It was good to hear from you and I appreciate your kind words regarding my
appearances for the promotion of the book. Although I am not familiar with the handling of the
advance work for Frank [Sinatra]'s appearances, I'm certain you will be hearing from them. It is a
generous offer and I thank you for your reference to me. John and Darcy's party for Mardi and Bob
was most enjoyable and we found Bob to be a very fine young man. I'm sorry, too, you weren't able
to make it. Glad to hear that Bill's tennis game is 'superb' - - mine's not, but I'm improving!
Warm regards." Agnew's novel, The Canfield Decision, had just been published by Playboy
Press. Accompanied by a TLS: "Frank Sinatra" by a secretary, 1p, 7¼x10½. No place, 1976
June 7. To W. Ernst Minor. In full: "Thank you very much for your kind offer, however, we
arrive just before showtime and leave immediately thereafter…we have a very tight schedule. I
send you my very best wishes." Sinatra performed at Cincinnati's Riverfront Stadium on August
29, 1976. Fine condition. Two items.
