WALTER FREDERICK "FRITZ" MONDALE (born in 1928) served as U.S. Senator from Minnesota from 1964-1976, resigning to become Carter's Vice President (1977-1981). He was the unsuccessful candidate for reelection in 1980 and for President in 1984, losing to President Reagan, 525-13 electoral votes. DIRECTLY FROM THE SALE OF THE ESTATE OF DANIEL PATRICK MOYNIHAN. Moynihan (1927-2003) represented New York in the U.S. Senate from 1977-2001. Lightly creased.
