Typed note signed: "Lytton", 1p, 4½x7. Knebworth, June 14, 1933. To renowned autograph collector Rev. Cornelius Greenway of Brooklyn, New York. In full: "Dear sir, In reply to your letter of May 31st., I send herewith an autographed photograph, which I hope will serve your purpose. I am, Yours faithfully." Victor Bulwer-Lytton (1876-1947) was British Governor of Bengal (1922-1927) and acting Viceroy of India (1925-1926). He was chairman of the League of Nations mission to Manchuria, which produced the so-called Lytton Report (1932) that condemned Japan's aggression there. Born in India, Lytton was 3rd Baron Lytton of Knebworth. Slightly creased at blank left margin. Pencil erasures at lower margin. Otherwise, fine condition.
