Document signed: "Victor Jory", 8½x11, 2 pages, front and
verso. New York, N.Y., 1952 September 18. Jory hires the William Morris
Agency as his exclusive agent for a term of three years, commencing 1952
November 7. The Morris Agency will receive 10% of all Jory's earnings from the
broadcasting industry. Signed on last page. Canadian-born actor Victor Jory
(1902-1982) was a U.S. Coast Guard boxing and wrestling champion. He
played occasional leads, but more often character parts in films, often as a
heavy. Key roles included A Midsummer Night's Dream (1935), Adventures
of Tom Sawyer (1938), Man of Conquest (1940), The Miracle
Worker (1962) and Papillon (1973). He played Lamont Cranston in a
serialization of The Shadow (1940). Ink note (unknown hand) at top left
