Printed card signed in ink: "Victoria de los Angeles", in black ink, on 7½x7 sheet. 3 unsigned photographs have been affixed. Victòria de los Ángeles (1923-2005), born Victoria Gomez Cima, made her professional debut as the Countess in The Marriage of Figaro in 1945. She debuted in Paris in 1949, the year before de los Ángeles first appeared in Salzburg and in her first U.S. recital at Carnegie Hall. Although her career peaked in the mid-1970s, de los Ángeles, continued to sing her favorite role, Carmen, into the 1980s, and she sang at the Barcelona Olympic Games in 1992. Light surface creases. Lightly toned. Slightly soiled on outer edges. Fold through center. Otherwise, fine condition.
