Document signed "Vincent St. Cyr" in blue ink. Blue and red ink notations in unknown hand. 2 pages, 6x8¾, 1 sheet, front and verso. With 6¼x3¼ initiation fee receipt carbon copy with perforated left edge stapled at top edge. Jan. 26, 1961. Membership form for the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists. St. Cyr had an uncredited role in The Outsider in 1961. A U. S. Marine and Korean War veteran, St. Cyr (1930-1997) appeared in over 20 movies and TV shows between 1958 and 1978. Most of his early roles were as anonymous Native Americans. He enjoyed an elevation of status of sorts in the mid-1970s, when he was cast Chief Looking Glass in I Will Fight No More Forever (1975), Chief Shokobob in Against a Crooked Sky (1975) and as a Ponca chief in the TV movie The Mahacans (1976) and the 1978 mini-series How the West Wast Won. After leaving movies and TV, he became an emergency technician and community health representative in Winnebago, Nebraska from 1980 to 1982 and used his acting skills in educational programs in Omaha, Nebraska. Lightly toned and creased. Form has light tears in right edge and bottom right corner and nick in right edge. Receipt is missing bottom right corner, has light nicks in tear in right edge, light nicks in top right corner and carbon copy marks and was folded once and unfolded. Otherwise in fine condition.
