VINCENT BUGLIOSI
The Chief Prosecutor in the Charles Manson trial signs a handwritten note
Autograph Note signed: "To Dan,/My best wishes in all the years ahead/Vince Bugliosi", 7x5½.
Accompanied by an unsigned photo of Bugliosi showing a crime scene photo to a crowd of
reporters. Vincent Bugliosi (1934-2015) was Chief Prosecutor of Charles Manson in the
1970-1971 Tate-LaBianca murder trial. In 1972, he published his experiences in the novel
Helter Skelter. As a prosecutor, Bugliosi secured convictions in 105 out of 106 felony cases,
and in all 21 of his murder cases. Bugliosi has written a dozen non-fiction books, most
focused on politically charged American trials. In Outrage (1996), he strongly asserts O. J.
Simpson's guilt and accuses the prosecutors in that trial of ineptitude. After prosecuting Lee
Harvey Oswald in a televised mock trial, he wrote Reclaiming History: The Assassination of
President Kennedy (2007), supporting the conclusions of the Warren Report and rebutting the
conspiracy theories. Ink note (unknown hand) on verso at bottom edge. Otherwise, fine
condition.
