The son of violinist Efrem Zimbalist and opera star Alma Gluck, EFREM ZIMBALIST, JR. made his film debut in 1949 in House of a Stranger. Although he appeared in a number of films, including the action-flick satire, Hot Shots!, which showcased his zany comedic flair, Zimbalist achieved stardom on the small screen. From 1958-1964, he starred as suave private detective Stuart Bailey on 77 Sunset Strip. In 1965, Zimbalist began his nine-season run as Inspector Lew Erskine on The FBI. He later appeared as con artist Daniel Chalmers on his daughter Stephanie's weekly series Remington Steele (1982-1987) and guested on a number of other series, including Babylon 5 (1997). The son of actor Robert Keith, BRIAN KEITH (1921-1997) appeared with his dad in the Broadway debut of Mr. Roberts (1948). A decorated Marine pilot in WWII, Keith played good guys and bad guys in Western and action films of the 1950s and more varied roles thereafter. He portrayed President Teddy Roosevelt in The Wind and the Lion (1975) and TR's predecessor, President McKinley, in The Rough Riders (1997). He was a very popular TV actor whose series highlights included Family Affair (1966-1971), The Brian Keith Show (1972-1974) and Hardcastle and McCormick (1983-1986). Lightly creased and yellowed at blank margins, else fine condition.
