Photograph signed: "Wally Backman". Color, 8x10. Wally Backman played second base for the New York Mets from 1980-1988. During the 1986 World Series, which the Mets won over Boston, he played with his "Partner in Crime", Len Dykstra, and Backman also led the league in sacrifice hits in 1985 with 14. He later played for the Minnesota Twins (1989), the Pittsburgh Pirates (1990-1991) and the Philadelphia Phillies (1991-1992) before playing his final major league season with the Seattle Mariners (1993). Backman's career batting average was .275, with 10 home runs and 240 RBIs. Fine condition.
