Ink drawing of a sweating policeman, signed by him in December 1945
Original Art signed: "Best Wishes/Wally Falk/12-5-45/Mpls/Minn", 4½x6 album leaf. Wally Falk (d. 1962) was an American cartoonist, based in Minneapolis, and known for his one-frame, humorous comics. He drew and wrote the gag lines for Family Car (1955-1962), mostly devoted to making fun of women drivers. From 1955 until his death he also drew The Country Parson, with aphorisms supplied by minister Frank Clark. Earlier in his career he drew a strip called Kickin' Around. File holes at top. All edges faded and lightly wrinkled. Paper residue at top edge. Newpaper article affixed to verso. Paper and glue residue on verso (no show-through).
