Photograph signed: “Walter/Tkaczuk” in black felt. 8x10. Walt Tkaczuk (b. 1947) is a retired
NHL player, playing for 14 seasons with the New York Rangers (1967-1981). Born in
Germany but moving to Canada at the age of 2, Tkaczuk became the first German born
player to appear in an NHL game. He had a successful NHL career, playing 945 games,
scoring 227 goals and aiding in 451 assists. However, he retired early in 1980-1981 after a
serious eye injury. He now owns a golf course in Ontario. Lightly toned. Corners rounded.
Creased throughout. Top and bottom edges slightly water damaged. Three holes punched in
left edge. Otherwise, fine condition.
