WALTER BRENNAN
Signed Call Sheet for an episode of The Guns of Will Sonnet
Document signed: "Walter Brennan", 1 page, 8½x11. T and L Productions call sheet from an episode of the TV series The Guns of Will Sonnet titled "The Natural Way," July 31, 1967. In 1936, Walter Brennan (1894-1974, born in Swampscott, Massachusetts) won the first of his three Best Supporting Actor Academy Awards for his role as Swan Bostrom in Come and Get It, set in the Wisconsin woodlands. In 1938, he won the Oscar for his role as septuagenarian horse breeder Peter Goodwin in Kentucky and won again in 1940 for The Westerner, playing legendary Judge Roy Bean. From 1957 to 1963, he was Grandpa Amos McCoy in TV's The Real McCoys. He portrayed a former cavalry scout raising his grandson in The Guns of Will Sonnett on ABC from 1967 to 1969. "Call sheet" is a film industry term for a fact sheet issued to cast and crew before a shoot. While call sheets can give everything from directions to weather information, this one identifies equipment to be used in filming. Notch at right edge and lower edge. Corners worn. Multiple mailing folds. Otherwise, fine condition.
