Cast members Fonda and Shields signs still from their 1979 film Wanda Nevada
Printed photograph signed: "Best/ wishes/ Peter/ Fonda" in blue ink and "Love,/ Brooke Shields" in black ink. B/w, 10x8. Promotional still from the film Wanda Nevada (1979). PETER FONDA, born in New York City in 1939, is the son of Henry Fonda and sister of Henry Fonda. He's been an actor since at least 1961, when he appeared in the Broadway play Blood, Sweat and Stanley Poole. He finally got his due as an actor for his superb performance as Florida beekeeper Ulysses "Ulee" Jackson in Ulee's Gold, snaring an Oscar nomination and a Golden Globe for his work. In 1969, Fonda starred in Easy Rider, a film that he also produced, earning him an Oscar nomination for Best Screenplay. Peter directed his father in the 1979 film Wanda Nevada. BROOKE SHIELDS (b. 1965) became a bona fide star when French director Louis Malle cast her as a 12-year-old New Orleans prostitute who becomes the romantic obsession of a much older painter in Pretty Baby(1978). Through her teens, Shields was among the world's top fashion models. Her best-known film is the so-bad-it's-good The Blue Lagoon (1980) in which she and a teenage hunk find themselves shipwrecked for years on a desert island. Shields decided it was time for college and enrolled in Princeton, where she graduated with honors. When given her own situation comedy NBC's Suddenly Susan (1996-2000), proving to be a competent, charismatic comedy actress. She has starred in a series of Broadway revivals, including Grease, Cabaret and Chicago. Corners rounded. Slightly toned. Light surface creases. Otherwise, fine condition.
