Large 10¾x14 b/w bust photo of actor Ward Bond in a jacket and pinstriped shirt, signed "With greatest affection" in blue ink
Inscribed photograph signed "To Don & Bea./With greatest/affection/Ward" in blue ink. B/w, 10¾x14 overall, 10¼x13¼ image, one surface, printed on cardstock. Bond (1903-1960), born Wardell E. Bond, distinguished himself in small roles in films such as Gone With the Wind (1939), The Grapes of Wrath (1940), Tobacco Road (1941) and The Quiet Man (1952), but became a star in the television series Wagon Train. He starred as Major Seth Adams, the wagonmaster, from 1957 until his death in 1960. Lightly toned, cracked, creased and rippled. Light chipping at top edge and nicks in bottom edge. Otherwise in fine condition.
