American musician, songwriter, singer, and orchestra leader Wayne King (1901-1985) was best known for his popular waltzes,thus earning the nickname "The Waltz King". King often appeared in live performances and on radio broadcasts, and famously ended his shows with the song "The Waltz You Saved For Me". Moreover, he has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
