A signed photo of the Cherokee actor in his role as Geronimo, framed with a pendant he wore in the film.
Collection of two items, framed in a display box (21x17x2¾): 1) Photograph signed: "Wes Studi". Color, 8x10, matted to an overall size of 13½x10½. Shown in the title role of the 1993 film, Geronimo: an American Legend; 2) Ephemera, unsigned. A metal pendant attached at the end of a light- and dark-blue beaded necklace worn by Studi in the same film. Wes Studi, who spoke only Cherokee until he entered grade school, has portrayed Native American characters in several important films, including Dances with Wolves (1990), Last of the Mohicans (as Magua, 1992), The New World (2005), and as Navajo Lt. Joe Leaphorn in the PBS-TV mysteries based on the works of Tony Hillerman. Studi is also a sculptor and the author of children's books. A Vietnam veteran, he is also a member of the American Indian Movement and was present at the Wounded Knee protests of 1973. Fine condition. Not framed in the Gallery of History style.
