Classics of the Screen/Wesley Barry with Harry Myers in 'The Printer's Devil.'" Captioned at lower margin: "The most thrilling moment when 'Brick' sees a thousand dollars for the first time." In the film, "Brick" had convinced Sidney to wire home for money to buy the "Gazette", a newspaper that had been sold and then taken back numerous times by a local swindler. Multi-talented Wesley Barry (1907-1994) was an actor, director, producer and screenwriter. After making his film debut as a child actor in Rebecca of Sunnybrook Farm (1917), Barry was featured in a long list of both silent films (Daddy Long Legs, 1919; The Country Kid, 1923) and "talkies", appearing in his last film, Ladies' Day, in 1943. From the 1940s until 1964, he directed and/or produced a number of "B" films, including Westerns and science fiction features (The Creation of the Humanoids, 1962). Barry was also the producer and director of the TV series, Wild Bill Hickok (1951-1958). Fine condition.
