Cloth 3'x5' French tricolor flag, formerly used as a movie prop
Movie prop, unsigned. Cloth 3'x5' French flag in the familiar red, white and blue "tricolor" pattern. One-inch canvas trim along upper edge, imprinted with lettering: "Western Costume Company - France 3x5", and metal loops for hanging. This movie prop was part of a large buy-out from Western Costume Company of Hollywood, California, which since 1912 has provided props and costumes for major studios and small amateur companies alike, supplying great films from Birth of a Nation to Gone with the Wind to Titanic. Wrinkled. Lightly soiled, most visible on white stripe, which is also lightly faded. Otherwise, fine condition.
