as George Gershwin in his first film, (Rhapsody in Blue, 1945), but played villains and

the Magi, Kwamima). She is recognizable to generations of children as Truly Scrumptious in
the film Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (1968). Howes has sung at the White House for three
Presidents (Ike, JFK and LBJ), and performed starred on regional stages in many of the great
musicals (Camelot, Sound of Music and The King and I, to name a few). Toned. Worn.
