Photograph signed: "Whit Wyatt". B/w 8x10. A Georgia high school pitching phenom, John Whitlow "Whit" Wyatt (1907-1999) spent 8 frustrating, injury-plagued seasons in the American League before coming into his own with the Brooklyn Dodgers. He won 70 games in his best four seasons with the Dodgers (1940-1943), including a 22-10 pennant winning 1941 season in which he pitched 7 shutouts. He threw to more complete games in the 1941 World Series, beating the Yankees once but losing to them in the final game. Wyatt was a 4-time All-Star. Background blurred and slightly toned. Otherwise, fine condition.
